1. Non-biodegradable substances cause soil pollution as they do not degrade and remain in the soil and land for a very long time. They go underground.There they pollute ground water as they contain toxic substances that can be poisonous to lining beings and crops. They are a potential risk as if this water is used by crops, life of plants as well as life of its consumers is also endangered.

2. When animals such as chief and buffaloes way these non-biodegradable substances, especially plastic bags and polythene, they may die due to choking of windpipe.

Two ways in which Non Biodegradable substances would affect the environment are:-

1.some of the non-biodegradable waste convert the land into Barren land and enter the food chain does affecting human being and other biotic components of the environment.

2. pesticides and other chemicals enter water and food change they affect the fertility of soil and harm all kind of living organism human beings are harmed the most because they are at the top of the food chain.
