“micromolecules” is only used in biochemistry to indicate fatty acids, amino acids, proteins tec. of low molecular weight. Macromolecules are defined as molecules being composed by about >1000 atoms. These might be either organic molecules (proteins, DNA, etc..) or natural/synthetic polymers.

A macromolecule is a very large molecule commonly created by polymerization of smaller subunits. macromolecules are the three conventional biopolymers (nucleic acids, proteins, and carbohydrates), as well as non-polymeric molecules with large molecular mass such as lipids

molecule that is relatively smaller (than a macromolecule), or of low molecular weight. Monomers are considered a micromolecule that can be linked together to form polymer (which is a macromolecule). Inorganic compounds like water and minerals are examples of micromolecules.
