Mantle is the centre of earthquakes and volcanic eruption because from the mantle lava and magma arises. Mantle is the part of earth lying beneath earth's crust. It has molten rock in it and also the epicentre of the earthquake is always there in the mantle.

The rocks in the upper 100 to 200 km of the Mantle melt due to the heat and the Magma is created. Magma chamber are found in this layer of the Earth. Due to the heat and pressure, the energy waves are created in mantle. These energy wave move in vertical direction and Magma comes out on the surface of the Earth by volcanic eruptions.
