Rectilinear motion:If an object travels along a straight path, then we call the motion as rectilinear.
Example: Movement of car along straight road.

Curvilinear moton:If an object moves in a curved path , then we call it as curvilinear motion.
example:Movement of car on a mountain.
 
Similarity of Rectilinear motion and curvilinear motion:

Both are the types of translatory motion .

An object is said to be in translatory motion when each and every point or parts of the object move in the same direction of motion.

For example :
 when a car is moving in Rectiinear motion or curvilinear every part like wheel, steering,driver et are moving in the direction of motion.
