by this activity we can see particles of matter are small
take a beaker with water and add 1 or 2 crystals of potassium permanganate and dissolve them in water now take out approximately 90 ml of clear water in other beaker and add it to 90 ml of clear water in other beaker again do this process 4 to 5 times observe the changes by this we can conclude particles of matter are very small



take a beaker with water and add few drops of ink to the beaker after a while you can see that ink spreads by this activity we can conclude that particles are continually moving

Aim: to show that particles of matter are very small

Material required: breaker,water,salt/sugar,glass rod

Procedure: take 100ml beaker.fill half the breaker with water and mark the level of water.Dissolve some salt or sugar with the help of glass rod.
observe any change in water level.

Observation: we observe that,the particles of salt or sugar get into the spaces between particles of water.There is no increase in the water level
