The process of converting solid directly into gas without changing into liquid at constant temperature is called Sublimation.

So, in naphthalene the process of sublimation takes place in which it directly changes into gaseous state without leaving any solid residue.
Thanks!

BECAUSE OF THE PROCESS CALLED SUBLIMATION NAPHTHALENE BALLS DISAPPEAR WITH TIME WITHOUT LEAVING ANY SOLID RESIDUE.
SUBLIMATION MEANS THE EVAPORATION OF SOLIDS DIRECTLY INTO GASEOUS STATE WITHOUT GOING THROUGH THE LIQUID STATE.......

lsb10: AND THE MAIN REASON IS NAPHTHALENE IS A SUBLIMATING SUBSTANCE
