Answer:

\underline{\huge{Answer:-}}

You are right, we should respect all living beings, but there are distinctions and grades.

Obviously if you can save a human or a rat, you save the human.

And the world works that one form of life is food for another, but we can feed on the lower forms of plant life and avoid the higher animals, birds and fishes.

We should avoid leather products and anything that involves cruelty to animals. We should not even cut down trees unnecessarily, and if we do need to cut them down we should plant five new ones.

Simply put, since we cannot create life, we should take life only as necessary.

Whether human, dog, cat or rat we should respect the life in the body as coming from a common father; avoid causing suffering; and help relieve suffering according to our capabilities. It is not necessary to round up every stray dog and give it nice quaters and good meals, but it is hard-hearted to ignore an animal in agony if we can do something helpful.
