Answer :- Malaria is an infectious disease caused by protozoa named "Plasmodium". It is carried to the human body by a mosquito named " female Anopheles " . The main source of breeding of mosquito is contaminated and polluted water and excess garbage.

In a slum area, water gets collected and provide the mosquito fair chance to increase their numbers. The hygienic conditions of slum are too not well. People live under unhygienic conditions. The population is more in slum area, so the chances of spreading of disease increases.

Therefore , in slum areas, many people are reported to be suffering from malaria.
