Heyaa !!!

.

.

hers a happy answer to ur question :-)

Cyclones cause heavy rain and storm surges .

A storm surge is an abnormal rise of sea level near the coast . When a cyclone strikes , the sae water floods the coastal region drowning human beings and animals , destroying crops , uprooting trees and reducing soil fertility . Very strong winds may damage communication system and disrupt electricity . Continuous rain due to cyclones causes flood and pollutes drinking water sources and can cause an outbreak of epidemics (disease).

Answer:

Tropical cyclones threaten lives and property because of their high winds, associated storm surge, excessive rain and flooding, and ability to spawn tornadoes. As they make landfall, the winds and surge are the main threats. As strong winds blow across an ocean surface they create a large dome of water.

Low air pressure in equatorial regions is due to the fact that hot air ascends there with a gradual decrease in temperature causing thinness of air on the surface.

Since the sun shines in the northern hemisphere there is low pressure in the northern region. As wind moves from low pressure region and the low pressure region is near the north pole, so the wind and pressure belts both shift polewards during the summer season.
