Give Reasons :

1. The temperature remains the same when change of state of matter takes place

2. Liquids have no definite
shape but a definite volume

3. A large volume of gases
can be compressed in
small cylinder

4. Particles in a solid do not
flow

5. A person with high fever is
advised to put a wet
washcloth on their forehead

Answer:

1) if the particles of a substance have enough energy to partially overcome intermolecular interaction, then the particles can move about each other while remaining in contact.

2) In liquid, the particles are still in close contact so the liquid has a definite volume. However, the particles can move about each other rather freely, the liquid had no definite shape and takes the shape dictated by its container.

3) large volume of gases can be transported in small cylinders because gases are highly compressible. we know that inter-particle spaces are maximum in gases and so they can be easily liquified by applying high pressure and lowering the temperature.

4) because solid has a definite shape and volume.

5) when a strip of wet cloth is put on the forehead of a person having a fever, the water in the cloth absorbs heat from the forehead to get vaporized.
