1) Sex Ratio is defined as the number of females per 1000 males in the population. (2) Two reasons responsible for unfavourable Sex Ratio in India : (1) People prefer to have a baby boy rather than a baby girl. (ii) People go through pre-natal sex determination test. In case of a girl child, they abort the child.
