Water isn't used to control fires involving electrical equipment because water also contains salts and minerals which is a good conductor of electricity and would be harmful.

Water is a very good conductor of electricity. When it is used in putting fire involving the electrical equipment current can pass through water and affect the person. It would not help in the stopping of burning.

Dsnyder: pls mark as brainliest..
raj205: no it is not the brainliest... because water is not used for such because as we all know water contains oxygen and fire needs oxygen to burn and it also contains sodium which can accelerate fire
raj205: *salt which can accelerate fire
raj205: water and salt both are the good conductors of electricity
