Silver comes below magnesium in the reactivity series.It is less reactive than magnesium .

Therefore, it cannot displace magnesium from its salt solution.

Silver is compartively less reactive than magnesium. In a single displacement reaction only those elements which are more reactive displaces other elements from its salt solutions...
