C4H8(g) + 6 O2 (g)  → 4 CO2 (g)+ 4 H2O (g)

Butene exist as a gas at room temperature
Oxygen also exists as a gas at room temperature

The carbon dioxide and water produced will also be in gaseous state.

Water will form as a vapour because of the high temperature during combustion, but it may condense and form a liquid shortly after being formed. This is because water usually exist as a liquid at room temperature.

Hydrocarbons reacts with atmospheric oxygen to give carbon dioxide and water as products.

Butene [C4H8] belongs to alkene family with double bonds..

They undergo combustion reaction in presence of oxygen to give sooty flame.

C4H8(g) +6O2 (g)----->4CO2 (g)+4H2O(g) +heat energy
