Following is the direction of induced current in the given figures:

a) Anticlockwise

b)Clockwise

  • The induced current is generated to oppose the change in the magnetic field.
  • The induced current is generated such that the magnetic field produced by it cancels the changing magnetic field.
  • In the figure, A) the number of field lines is increasing in the loop so the induced current will be produced to oppose the increase in magnetic field lines i.e in the Anticlockwise direction.
  • In figure B) the field line is decreasing as the magnet is going farther away, so induced current will increase the no of field line and so will be induced in the clockwise direction.
