4a^2+4a-3 is a quadratic expression,

we solve this as follows

4a^2 + 6a- 2a -3 == 2a(2a+3) -1(2a+3)

== (2a+3)(2a-1)

l,b= 1/2 , -3/2

Given, area of rectangle = 4a2 + 4a – 3

First we factorize  4a2 + 4a – 3   [by splitting middle term]

4a2 + 6a – 2a -- 3

= 2a(2a + 3) -1 (2a + 3)

(2a – 1) (2a + 3)

Area = Length  x  Breadth

Hence ,there are two possibilities

Case 1 :-      ANS

Length  =(2a – 1)   units

Breadth  =(2a + 3)   units

Case 2 :-     ANS

Length  =(2a + 3)   units

Breadth  =(2a – 1)   units

if u like my ans and if it is helpful to u plz mark me brainlier
