CHARACTER SKETCH OF GRIFFIN

⦁ Griffin, the invisible man is the titularprotagonist as well as the antagonist of the novel 'The invisible man' by H.G.Wells.

⦁ He is an albino, six feet high with a pink and white face and red eyes. Griffin enters into scene in a strange appearance wrapped in bandages and covered from head to toe.

⦁ He is a prodigy, a meritorious student who has won a medal for chemistry at University college who later took interest in physics and optical density.

⦁ Griffin was brilliant but short tempered, selfish and callous.

⦁ He was an extremely hardworking young scientist who put his heart and soul into his work.

⦁ He was very determined in pursuit of his scientific goal and quite literally stopped at nothing which is evident from the robbery of his own father to fund his research.

⦁ This act ultimately lead to his fathers suicide over which griffin expresses no remorse indicating his utter lack of love and compassion.

⦁ His decline began with his obsession over someone else receiving credit for his work.

⦁ He goes from a scientist to a fanatic when he overlooks the consequences of his scientific achievements.

⦁ He sets his apartment on fire to destroy any traces of his research, terrorizes the entire village of Iping, committing robbery, arson and after all he simply describes his crimes as "necessary".

⦁ He makes a vulnerable man like Marvel his accomplice taking advantage of his helplessness.

⦁ The absence of even an ounce of morality in his character is absolutely clear from the chasing of Dr. Kemp in the end to avenge treachery and the brutal murder of Wicksteed.

Griffin is invisible man in the story The Invisible Man He is seeing visiting a small village with bandaged head and bussy side whiskers .we and the character in the story later realise that the bandages of on his head via tended to hide the fact that he is invisible from all the invisibility happened due to an experiment he conducted on himself he had in fact stolen money from his father to conduct his experiment .the money which belong to someone else this telling it cause his father to kill himself as the story progresses doctor Griffin again begins is telling for itself it wants and after appoint loses his sanity by the end of the story he is trapped and killed by the village folk and at his death his body again become visible .
