Given :  ∆ABC~∆PQR,

AB/PQ=1/3

To Find : ar∆ABC/ar∆PQR  

Solution :

Ratio of Area of similar triangle  = (ratio of corresponding side)²

∆ABC~∆PQR

AB/PQ=1/3,

ar∆ABC/ar∆PQR   = (AB/ PQ)²

=> ar∆ABC/ar∆PQR   = (1/ 3)²

=> ar∆ABC/ar∆PQR   =  1² / 3²

=>  ar∆ABC/ar∆PQR   =  1  / 9

 ar∆ABC/ar∆PQR   =  1  / 9
