Gold is a very good conductor of electricity. Why isn't gold wire used in circuits?​

  • Gold is indeed a great conductor of electricity. It’s is indeed used in heavy circuits in super computers as a conductor. But gold is very costly and is not available in abundance like copper. So using gold in electrical wires (home wiring) in not at all practical. Hence, we do not use gold wires in circuits.
