1mole and 1mole  2 moles Initially the mixture of H2 & Cl2 occupying the volume of 36 cm3 According to the equation 1 mole of hydrogen reacts with 1 mole of chlorine giving 2 moles of hydrogen chloride. Here equal volumes of H2 &Cl2 are reacted 16g of H2 & 16 g of Cl2 reacted and gives 32g of HCl and 4g of H2 left unreacted.
