Gopi sold a watch to Ibrahim at 12% gain and Abraham sold it to John at a loss of 5% if John paid rupees 1330 then find how much did Gopi sold it​

Abraham had loss % = 5%

His SP is 1330

So, CP = SP of Gopi's Watch

CP = SP/1 - Loss %

So, 1330÷ (1−5÷100)

= 1330 ÷ 0.95

= 1400

So gopi sold the watch for ₹1400

and his gain is

If you ask for his profit then, first his CP is SP ÷ (1 + P%)

= 1400 ÷ (1+ 12÷100 )

= 1400 ÷ 1.12

= 1250

So Profit = SP - CP

= 1400 - 1250

= ₹150
