1)a large number of members of deuteromycetes are decomposer of litter and help in mineral

cycling

2) mushroom are used as food source. Most delicious mushroom is Agaricus bisporus

3)A drug clavatin is obtained from clavatia

4)yeast are used for preparation of alcohol

5)Riboflavin(vitamin B2) obtain from saccharomyces cerevisiae. It is used as fermentation agent in bakery(bread industry).

6) Truffle are ascomycetes. It is edible fungus.

Ergotin(drug) obtain from claviceps purpurea. A narctic drug(LSD) also obtained from it.

7) Penicillin in antibiotics obtained from Penicillium notatum.
