height of the object h =3cm
object distance u=-25cm
focal length f =+20cm
let image distance =v
height of the image = h'
using 1/v-1/u =1/f
1/V=1/20+1/-25
1/V =5-4/100
V =+100cm
thus the image is formed at a distance of 100 cm from the optical centre of the convex lens.+ sign shows that the image is formed at the right side of the convex lens
we know that, magnification M = h'/h= v/u
h'=hx V/u
h'=3x100/-25
h'=-12cm
the -ve sign shows that the image is formed below the principal axis and the image is inverted wrt to the object
