The answer for 6 a) is pentan - 2 - ol

ScienceBranch: it's five, so pentane
ScienceBranch: then start counting from the side where the substituent OH gets least number
ScienceBranch: obviously from left, it gets 2
bobbyflip27: yeah but option b has five carbons too why cant it be
ScienceBranch: As OH is written ad prefix 'ol'
