Correct question:-

Calculate the mass of :-

(a) 30.11×10²³ atoms of nitrogen

(b) 2.4088×10²² molecules of Carbon-

dioxide

Answer:-

(a) 70g

(b) 1.76g

Explanation:-

For 30.11×10²³ atoms of Nitrogen :-

• Molar mass of Nitrogen = 14g/mol

• Avogadro Number = 6.022×10²³

Number of mole :-

= No of atoms/Avogadro Number

= 30.11×10²³/6.022×10²³

= 5 mole

=> Mass = No of moles × Molar mass

=> Mass = 5×14

=> Mass = 70g

For 2.4088×10²² molecules of CO :-

• Molar mass of CO₂ = 12+16×2 = 44g/mol

Number of mole :-

= No of molecules/Avogadro Number

= 2.4088×10²²/6.022×10²³

= 0.4/10

= 0.04 mole

=> Mass = No of mole × Molar mass

=> Mass = 0.04 × 44

=> Mass = 1.76g

________________________________

Thus :-

• Mass of 30.11×10²³ atoms of Nitrogen

is 70g .

• Mass of 2.4088×10²² molecules of

Carbon-dioxide is 1.76g .
