The answer is given below :

Now,

(x + 1)/3 - (x + 7)/2 = 1

The lcm of 3 and 2 is = 3 × 2 = 6

So, we have

{2(x + 1) - 3(x + 7)}/6 = 1

=> 2x + 2 - 3x - 21 = 6

=> (2x - 3x) + (2 - 21) = 6

=> (-x) + (-19) = 6

=> -x = 6 + 19

=> x = - 25

So, the required solution be x = - 25
