Half the perimeter of a rectangular garden , whose length is 4m more than its width, is 36m. Find the dimensions of the garden.​

Let breadth of garden = b

length = 4 + b

Now perimeter of garden = 2(l+b)

= 2 (4+b+b)

= 2(4+2b)

Now half of perimeter = 36m

2(4+2b)/2 = 36.

4+2b = 36

2b = 32

b= 32/2 = 16 m

Length = 20m

breadth = 16 m
