breadth of the hall(b)=10.5 metre

therefore, area of the hall=(28 × 10.5) sq.m

= 294 sq.m

length of the side of the square tile = 0.5 metre

therefore,area of the square tile = 0.25 sq.m

Number of tiles to be used for flooring

= Area of the hall ÷ Area of the square tiles

= 294 ÷ 0.25

= 1176 tiles.
