Have you ever gotten lost experience have you ever gotten lost

Answer:
Yes. I do not remember the year exactly (neither do my parents), but it must have been 2006.
Once I wanted to visit the local Science Park in my hometown Purulia. As a 7-year old kid, I had the interest of science kindled in me! So once when my father was in town, I convinced him to take me there. He finally agreed.
We left home at around 4 p.m., reached the park shortly thereafter, bought tickets, and went in straight away. I was looking around at persistence of vision experiments, a thirty foot long python, acoustics, and many more with interest, with my father putting in some explanations from time to time. We moved over to a corner in the park which had a number of swing sets of different height (to prove the dependency of oscillation time on length/height). I did not understand it, so imagine my surprise when I turned around to ask my father, he wasn’t there!
I was frightened beyond belief. It was a relatively empty day at the park (either that or people didn’t visit enough), so I did not see anybody around. Fighting back tears, I slowly walked back the way I could remember, so that I could find someone. But then I remembered my parents taught me never to talk to strangers, so I quickly wiped my face and kept walking. Not knowing or remembering the way to anywhere, I kept moving around and suddenly found myself close to the entrance gate.
I remember the place where Baba has parked his motorcycle, I realized, and told myself, I must check if it is still there, and wait near it.
With dread in my heart, I walked past the exit quickly and looked over at the small parking lot. I was overjoyed to find my father’s bike there! I moved over, and waited. Ten minutes, twenty minutes, an hour dragged by. Finally, I spotted my father moving out of the Park’s exit, tension etched on his face. He quickly came over when he spotted me near the bike. Relieved, he told me that we must have separated at some junction, being engrossed in what the park had to offer! He contacted some of the park’s staff after he realized I was missing, but to no avail. We both thanked God that I had the brains to wait near the bike!
Later, he would often joke that the first place he went to after realizing I was missing, was the 30-foot long python’s cage! Then again, he said the python wouldn’t touch a skinny boy like me!
