• It was later renamed the Integrated Industrial Complex of Kalinga Nagar (KNIIC). The key idea of building this region complex was to encourage manufacturing houses to set up factories such as the Metal, Steel and Allied industries.
• The purchase was done with the intention of supplying local people with job opportunities and thus creating jobs for them.
