Explanation:

The consequences of any accident are never good. Some accidents are quite severe while few may not be so dangerous but still many people lose their lives on daily basis due to accidents.

Hence it is never easy to describe an accident for yourself. Because when you try to portray yourself , the fear of the consequences, the injuries, the pain of accident all definitely come to mind and then your mind is not in such active state to describe that in a regular smooth way

Yes! Mostly, people are unable to speak for themselves in situations that make people numb either out of shock or being traumatized or in fear of losing something precious or in anger.

Why does such a thing happen and what makes the person numb?

When a person experiences something terrible, be it an accident, or witnessing something scary, precisely, an unexpected situation that causes the one to lose his/her sanity, the body and brain which isn't ready for facing the situation, tries to let you grasp the information fastly, making you act thoughtlessly.

These things come out as psychological shocks, as the stress hormones or high rush of adrenaline gets released into your body in such situations, all unprepared, making the muscles stiff and numbing the brain voluntaries for a few minutes, sometimes, it can be for hours too.
