Assuming other number is natural number.
Steps:
1 ) Let the HCF be 'x'.
According to question,
Then, the LCM becomes '6x'.
Let the other number be 'n'.
2) We know that,
Product of two Numbers =HCF * LCM of both
Therefore, other number is square of HCF of two numbers .
If HCF is 1 , other number is 1 :
If HCF is 2, other number is 4:
This way Other number varies with HCF of given numbers.
