HCl and HNO3 show acidic characteristics in aqueous solution while alcohol and glucose solutions do not. Give reasons.

because HCl and HNO3 in aqueous solution form ions which are responsible for acidic nature whereas when alcohol and glucose are added to water they do not ionise hence they do not show acidic character
