Let's write the given values..

Given:

Wavelength = 1 cm = 1 x 10^-2m.

Velocity of Sound= 340m/s

We have to find the frequency =?

We know that,

Velocity = frequency x Wavelength

Frequency = velocity/wavelength

By putting the given values we get,

Frequency = velocity/Wavelength

frequency = 340/1 x 10^-2

frequency = 340 x 10^2

frequency = 34000 Hz.

This frequency is higher than 20000 Hz and therefore,this sound cannot be heard by the human ear.

Thanks...
