Tan^2 theta - Sin^2 theta = tan^2 theta × sin^2 theta..

If you are familiar with trig. identiy, you can prove from the left to the right in a much simpler way:

tan^2x-sin^2x

= tan^2x (1 - cos^2x), since tan^2x cos^2x = sin^2x

= tan^2 sin^2x
