WHAT DO YOU UNDERSTAND BY ONE PERSON, ONE VOTE AND ONE VALUE?

• It means that everyone in the country has a right to make its own decision, irrespective of their caste, gender, etc.
• All votes have an equal value.

WHY FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS ARE HELD IN A DEMOCRACY?

• Free and fair elections is an important salient feature for democracies.
• It is considered as the best alternative as it helps people to express their wills and opinion for a particular subject.
