So , = 15 + 10 + (x + 4 ) = 50 cm

=25 + x + 4 = 50 cm

= 25 + x = 50 - 4 ( transposing +4 from LHS to RHS will change +4 to -4 )

= 25 + x = 46

= x = 46 - 25 ( transposing +25 from LHS to RHS will change +25 to -25 )

= x = 21

therefore , the value of x is 21 .
