 4a + 2b - 6 = 0 \: \: or \: \: 2a + b = 3 \\ 4b + 2a = - 12 \: \: or \: \: a + 2b = - 6 \\ on \: solving \\ a = 4 \: \: \: and \: \: \: b = - 5 \\ hence \\ a {x}^{2} + bx - 6 + b {x}^{2} + ax + 12 + 2 {x}^{2} \\ = 4 {x}^{2} - 5x - 6 - 5 {x}^{2} + 4x + 12 + 2 {x}^{2} \\ = {x}^{2} - x + 6 \\ = {x}^{2} - 3x + 2x + 6 \\ = (x - 3)(x + 2) \\ x = 3 \: \: \: \: and \: \: \: x = - 2
