Animals which lay eggs outside their body which later develop into young ones are called oviparous animals.
Fertilization of the egg can take place internally or externally but the distinctive feature of an oviparous animals is that it always hatch their young ones outside their body.
These animals lay eggs which in due course of time grow to become adults. But there are few exception in these organisms, which undergo various stages before attaining adulthood.
Frog, Silkmoth and Starfish are few such examples whereas Hen are the ones which lay egg which in due course of time hatch and turn into adults .
