Solution:-

Coordinates of the opposite vertices of the rhombus are (3, 0) and (-1, 4); (4, 5) and (-2, -1).

Length of the diagonals:

Length of first diagonal joining the vertices (3, 0) and (-1, 4) = √[(-1-3)2 + (4 - 0)2] = √[16 + 16] = √32 = 4√2

Length of other diagonal joining the vertices (4, 5) and (-2, -1) = √[(-2-4)2 + (-1 - 5)2] = √[36 + 36] = √72 = 6√2

Area of the rhombus = 1/2 x product of the diagonals

= 1/2 x 4√2 x 6√2

= 24 sq units.
