Dear ,

Uses of Biotechnology ;-

1) Higher crop yields.
2) Higher resistance to diseases.
3) Less pesticide is needed to be used due to insect pest resistant plants.
4) GMO crops last longer. This decreases the amount of wasted crops and foods.
5) Reduced energy needs to produce GMO crops.

Drawbacks of Biotechnology ;-

• The most important one is the diseases like Human Breast Cancer , Lung Cancer , etc. which are the result of it.

BIOTECHNOLOGY IS A VAST STUDY IN BIOLOGY WHICH DEALS WITH ORGANISMS TO MAKE NEW PRODUCTS. IT DEALS WITH THE CONCEPT OF BIOTECH AND EMPHASIS ON MODIFICATIONS OF LIVING ORGANISMS ACCORDING TO HUMANS REQUIREMENT.
IN THIS ARTIFICIAL METHODS LIKE GENE MANUPULATION, HYBRIDISATION,ETC.
BIOTECHNOLOGY IS AN ARTIFICIAL METHOD OF INCREASING PRODUCTION OF VARIOUS LIVESTOCK. FOR E.G,INDIAN COW BREEDS LIKE RED SINDHI AND SAHIWAL SHOW EXCELLENT DISEASE RESISTANCE WHICH FOREIGN BREEDS LIKE BROWN SWISS AND JERSY HAVE LONG LACTATIONAL PERIOD.
THEREFORE IF BOTH ARE CROSS BREEDED THEN THE OFFSPRING WILL HAVE BOTH THE CHARACTERS OF INDIAN AS WELL AS FOREIGN BREEDS.

DRAWBACKS OF BIOTECHNOLOGY:-

•THIS MAY RESULT TO DISTURBANCE IN THE ECOSYSTEM.

•IT IS HELPFUL FOR HUMANS AND DOESN'T HAVE MUCH DISADVANTAGES.

THANKS
I THINK IT HELPS....
