Answer:
Given : A simple pendulum is falling freely under gravity.
The pendulum is mounted in a cabin.
Calculation :
First of all, you need to remember the formula of time period for a simple pendulum .
T = 2π *√(l/g),
where , l is the length of the string, g refer to the acceleration experienced by the pendulum (mostly gravity).
Now, when it is freely falling , the net acceleration experienced (reaction forces) = g -g = 0 (zero) m/s^2
So time period
= 2π *√(l/0)
= 2π *√(l/0)= infinity

Answer:
During free fall the body feels weightlessness inside the lift. Hence g = 0. So time period T = 2π(L/g)½ = 2π(L/0) ½ = ∞.
