★RNA Interference :-

→ It is a biological process by which translation or gene expression of RNA molecules takes place, by neutralzing targeted mRNA molecules.

→ It takes place in all eukaryotes as a cellular defense.

→ It is also known as Gene silencing

★ Method of gene silencing :-

→ Transcription takes place only in one strand of RNA so, by reversing the polarity we transcript its both strands.

now,

3 ds RNA ab (dicer) which makes cut only on ds RNA will break it into small fragments.

Now,

Si RNA (small interfering RNA) 【Named Rise】 will break that ds RNA into ss RNA and store it as a memory.

Again, when any foreign particles enters it can recognise it easily by binding and prevent it from further translation of mRNA due to complimentary of ds RNA molecule .

Happy to help !
