In the adjoining plot of land , all the adjacent sides are at right angles .

Find

a) The perimeter.


b) area

BC = 15m + 11m [ as shown in fig.]

»» BC = 26m.

EF = 26m - 10m [ as shown in fig.]

»» EF = 16m.

 \textsf{Perimeter of the adjoining plot}

P = Sum of all sides

»» P = AB + BC + CD + DE + EF + FA

»» P = ( 26 + 26 + 10 + 11 + 16 + 15 )m.

»» P = 104m.

 \boxed{ \text{Perimeter = 104m.}}

 \textsf{Area of the adjoining plot}

 \textsf{Area of ABMF = Lenth $ \times $Breadth}

 \text{Here.... \: lenght = 26m \: and \: breadth = 15m. }

»» Area = 26m × 15m

»» Area = 390m²

 \textsf{Area of MCDE = Lenth $ \times $Breadth}

 \text{Here.... \: lenght = 11m \: and \: breadth = 10m. }

»» Area = 11m × 10m

»» Area = 110m²

 \boxed{ \text{Area of adjoining plot = Area of ABMF + Area of MCDE}}

Area of adjoining plot = 390m² + 110m²

»» 500m²

\boxed{\text {Area = 500m$^{2} $}}
