Solution :-

1) Perimerer of the Whole Figure

Refer image*

For different blocks as stated.

Perimeter of =

= 15 + 11 + 26 + 10 + 15 + 11

= 88 m

Area of "1st block" = 15 × 16 = 240

Area of 2nd block = 11 × 10 = 110

Area of "3rd block = 10×15 = 150

Area of Whole plot of land = 150 + 110 + 240 =

Formulas used :-

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

= 500 m²

It is already given that all

angles are of 90°.......

So... we can say that ......

ABMF is a rectangle and

MCDE is also a rectangle.....

Finding all side of the adjoining plot...

BC = 15m + 11m [ as shown in fig.]

»» BC = 26m.

EF = 26m - 10m [ as shown in fig.]

»» EF = 16m.

Perimeter of the adjoining plot

P = Sum of all sides

»» P = AB + BC + CD + DE + EF + FA

»» P = ( 26 + 26 + 10 + 11 + 16 + 15 )m.

»» P = 104m.

Perimeter = 104m.

Area of the adjoining plot

Area of ABMF = Lenth ×Breadth

Here.... lenght = 26m and breadth = 15m.

»» Area = 26m × 15m

»» Area = 390m²

Area of MCDE = Lenth ×Breadth

Here.... lenght = 11m and breadth = 10m.

»» Area = 11m × 10m

»» Area = 110m²

Area of adjoining plot = Area of ABMF + Area of MCDE

Area of adjoining plot = 390m² + 110m²

»» 500m²
