Asexual reproduction is that type of reproduction in which only single parent is involved. Asexual reproduction takes place by different methods :

1. Budding: A part of the organism starts bulging out. Slowly it grows and develops into a separate individual.ex :Hydra and Bacteria.

2.fission – In this type of reproduction, a single organism gets divided into two. Ex:Amoeba, prokaryotes etc.

3.Fragmentation :A form of asexual reproduction wherein a parent organism breaks into fragments, each capable of growing independently into a new organism. ex :molds, lichens, many plants, and animals such as sponges, acoel flatworms,

4.vegetative propagation. A form of asexual reproduction in plants, in which multicellular structures become detached from the parent plant and develop into new individuals that are genetically identical to the parent plant .ex.:grafting, cutting, layering, tuber, bulb or stolon formation,
