▶Powers of Prime Minister:-

•Prime Minister is known as head of the government.

•However the constitution do not say much about Prime Minister's power. But as the head of government it as wide ranging powers

•PM chairs Cabinet meetings and his decisions are final in case dis agreements occur.

•As political parties play a huge role in govt. , the PM controls the Cabinet through the party.

•The PM distributes and re distributes the work to officials. He also has to power to dismiss them.

•Hence, PM plays a integral role in govt.


▶Powers of President:-

•President is known as the head of the state.

•All govt. activities takes place in the name of President. All laws and major political decisions are issued in her name.

•All major appointments are made in his name.

•All international treaties and agreements are made in her name.

•The President is the supreme commander of defense forces.

•She appoints Chief Justice of India, The judges of supreme Court, High courts of state , Governors of state , Election Commissioner.

•Hence , they play an impt role in country.
