It has a direct formula.

area of an equilateral triangle = _/3(side)^2 / 4.

side^2 = (14)^2 x 3 = 588.

area = (root 3) x 588 / 4 = 147_/3.

Method 2

area = 0.5 x multiplication of sides x sin (angle between both sides)

We know in equilateral triangle all angles are 60°.

area = 0.5 x 14_/3 x 14_/3 x sin (60)

area = 147_/3
