Explanation:

Heya,

Given ratings: V = 12 v, P = 48 W

We know that P = V * I

                           = V*V/R     [since, V = I*R and I = V/R]

R = V*V/P = 12*12/48 = 3 ohm

(a) 12 v battery

I = V/R = 12/3 = 4 A

Energy consumed in 1 min (60 s)= V*I*t = 12*4*60 = 2880 J

(b) 6 v battery

I = V/R = 6/3 = 2 A

Energy consumed in 60 s = V*I*t = 6*2*60 = 720 J

Answer:

p =48w

p.d =12v

p = v^2/R

R = 3ohm

T =60s

for 12v

i = 12/3 = 4A

Energy consumed = i^2 Rt = 16*3*60= 2880j

for 6v

i = 6/3 =2A

energy consumed = 4 * 3*60 =720j
