corrosion is that process in which the metals are combine with the water molecules .

The corrosion of iron is known as Rusting.

means that corrsion is that process which convert metals into their oxides or hydroxides.

It's a natural process.

To protect metals from corrosion there are such methods-

1 Oiling

2 galvanisation

3 paintings ,etc
